Please also read the General Rules that apply to every single EPIC.LAN tournament. These tournament specific rules are subject to modification prior to the event.
Signups & Restrictions
- Signups will close on Friday 31st of October at 11:00 local time to allow for seeding and group scheduling.
- You must be aged 16+ to take part in any EPIC.LAN tournaments
- Any players under the age of 18 require parental or legal guardian consent to participate
- Any players under the age of 18 require an adult to accompany/be on site for the player (Either a parent or legal guardian, or an adult agreed upon by a parent or legal guardian, such as an adult team member)
- Games will start on Friday 31st 12:00.
Tournament Format
- 1v1 matches
- All stages are BO3, except final which is BO5
- Double elimination bracket (Winner’s Bracket and Loser’s Bracket).
- Players are eliminated after two match losses.
- Maximum 24 players.
Tournament Structure
- Winner’s Bracket: Players advance by winning their matches.
- Loser’s Bracket: Players who lose in the Winner’s Bracket drop to the Loser’s Bracket. A second loss leads to elimination.
- Grand Finals: The Loser’s Bracket finalist must win two consecutive series to win the tournament, while the Winner’s Bracket finalist only needs to win one series.
In Game
- Game Mode: Soccar.
- Map: Champions Field (or any other map available in competitive modes if both players agree).
- Game Length: 5 minutes.
- Overtime: Unlimited (first goal wins).
- No excessive chatting is allowed in the game. If the need to chat occurs the players must be straight to the point and polite. Ideally the only chat in each game will be at startup and when a player surrenders the game.
- No chat is ever permitted from a player to an outside party during a tournament match, or from an outside party to the player.
Hosting the Game
- To create a lobby, select “Private Match” from the play menu, then “Create LAN Match”
- Lobby Settings:
- Match Length: 5 minutes
- Max score: Unlimited
- Overtime: Unlimited
- Max Time Limit: Unlimited
- Series Length: 3 Games or 5 games (depending on match)
- Assist Score: Off
- Demolish Score: Off
- Possession Score: Off
- Rumble: Off
- Enforce Territories: Off
- Number Of Balls: 1
- All other settings: Default
- Game Mode: Soccar.
- Arena: Champions Field.(or agreed map if alternative is chosen by players)
- Team Size: 4v4
- Bot Difficulty: No bots.
- Mutator settings:
- Lobby Password: The lobby must be private with a password shared only with the opponent.
Player Responsibilities
Players are responsible for ensuring their PC, peripherals, and internet connection are working properly.
Conduct
Players must maintain a respectful and sportsmanlike attitude throughout the tournament.
Offensive behaviour, cheating, or disrespect towards opponents, staff, or other participants will result in warnings or disqualification.
Technical Support
Players are responsible for any technical issues with their own equipment.
Disputes
Any disputes or issues should be reported to the tournament organisers immediately.
The organiser’s decision on disputes is final.
Forfeits
Players must be ready and in the game lobby within 5 minutes of their scheduled match time.
Failure to join or host the lobby within 5 minutes will result in a forfeit.
Disconnects & Crashes
If a disconnection occurs during a match, the game will be paused. The player must reconnect within 5 minutes, or they will forfeit the match
After the player has rejoined, the match will restart with a kickoff from the time the match was paused.
